Who’s going to be the next superstar heavyweight boxer?

The HW division is the premier division and the duo currently ruling the division have 3 yrs max before they both retire.

So who do you believe would carry the division when they are gone?

I’m leaning towards Dubois but that boy is Bruno 2.0 right now unless they can give him more time to develop. He’s 22 and there’s no point rushing him. And even if he loses to Joyce (which is what I’m leaning towards) - no one should write him off. But if he wins in style - he shouldn’t be rushed.

Yoka is pretty interesting but the guy is the Amir Khan of the division. I saw him get knocked out cold multiple times in the amateurs. Joyce also beat him in the amateurs but was robbed. So I’m still iffy about him. But perhaps PEDs can save him once he starts getting hit.

Hrgovic hasn’t shown me anything spectacular apart from knocking off cream puffs. And he was soundly beaten by Joyce in the World Series of boxing. So I just don’t see him beating anyone at the top.

The other decent prospects from Russia and Eastern Europe don’t speak English. And Glassiev is too crude to beat anyone with a pulse - he’s like the caveman version of Beterbiev.

    Let me see yer list!

I don't think heavyweight is the best division or even close. I don't know of any superstar heavyweight fighting today. Maybe one will come along but he is not here now.

      Hrgovic
      Faust
      DDD

Edit : I’d probably change Victor Faust ,seems he’s probably just a bit behind after watching him . I’d probably go with Conto .

If the AJ/Joshua fight does happen in 2021, and Fury wins; I think he'll implode again and retire before a rematch.

If that does happen, AJ will obviously get a shot at undisputed with the next WBC interim champion which will likely be Dillian Whyte so I don't see Matchroom letting go of the alphabet titles anytime soon so I think it will be a Matchroom product; my bet is Hrgovic.

Dubois is the next big champ most likely even if he loses to Joyce.

Yoka’s chin acted like I said it’s. He’ll get sparked out cold against anyone who can punch and his inside game is non-existent.

AJ is the most exciting prospect in a while - he was far better than all these guys at this stage of his career.

We shall see how DDD looks vs Joyce tomorrow. If He looks good vs Joyce then we know who IS Heavyweight Boxing Next Star and he still only 23 years old

                    Nobody looks that exciting

I guess if Dubois beats Joyce well, he would be the one looking most likely out of the young fighters.

Being a superstar and champ are different things though. Does he have the image or personality to be a star? There’s plenty of good champs around that are not stars.

Fury v AJ will be the biggest fight ever in the UK, but both guys have good followings and are all over TV and media for things not even boxing related.

Is Dubois really going to get big endorsements and stuff like AJ does? Or have big ITV documentaries and be in WWE like Fury?

I just can’t see it. He doesn’t even run his own social media or anything which is kind of useless in this day and age if you want to cross over to the people.
