Teofimo beat the man all these prima donnas were avoiding so Lopez is the man
Teofimo Lopez vs. Gervonta Davis - WHO IS THE A SIDE? Explained

Tank should Fight that Isaac Cruz the guy who knocked Diego Magdelano in the first roundComment

Tank Davis is the A Side! I actually like Teofimo more, I like his mentality more, I like that he took the hard road to the top and he fast tracked himself when Bob and Bruce Trampler wanted to bring him along slowly. If it was up to Bob and Bruce, Teofimo would still be knocking out and matched up with Lower Level Competition
Instead him and Sr spoke up and made noise and DEMANDED the best! DEMANDED Commey, DEMANDED Loma so for that I like him more than Tank.
With that being said lets understand Context and WTF A Side Really Is! A Side is not who you think is better nor is it who you like more it is 1000% about who Draws the Most, who Generates the most Money and right now that is Tank Davis and it is not even close. Tank Davis is SELLING TICKETS and now Tank is Selling PPV's. With Teofimo and unfortunately due to this Pandemic, Top Rank now have to try and make him a Ticket Seller and a PPV STAR and build upon his huge win which honestly I don't think even they was prepared for nor did they expect him to win.
Oscar was always the A-Side in Every Fight he was in...like the Game Of Chess THE KING REMAINS THE KING! It didn't matter that he lost to Trinidad, it did not matter that he lost to Shane Mosley Twice he was still the biggest Draw, biggest Star and by far the Biggest Draw in that ERA. Those guys did not beat him and go on to become bigger stars that IS NOT how Boxing works.
So Despite B-Hop being the WBC, WBA and IBF Unified Middleweight Champion of the world going into that fight with Oscar who needed Robbery to STEAL Felix Strum WBO Middleweight Belt. Oscar was the clear A Side going into that fight! Then vs Mayweather, despite Mayweather being hot at the time and Widely Considered #1 P4P by ALL, Oscar was the A Side. Oscar vs Pacquiao, Oscar was the A Side despite Pacquiao being a hot name at that time.
So A Side is not about who has more Belts and who beat who...it comes down to who GENERATES the MOST and right now yes that is Tank Davis. Now I do think Teofimo have Superstar Potential and can eventually become a Big Star and a Big Draw but he is not that right now despite beating Loma. However, once the Pandemic Over I do think he will fill MSG and become that Draw
However, Right now at this VERY VERY Moment, Tank Generates More Ticket Sell and PPV Sell Wise so yes he is the "A Side". In Boxing the harsh reality is that who generates more Proceeds over who has what BeltsLast edited by sicko; 11-26-2020, 07:41 PM.Comment

Tank is way too small for the top 135 lbs guys and everyone in his team knows that. They're gonnna do the right thing and keep him at 130 where he can absolutely dominate until all the top 135 guys right now outgrow the division which is the smart thing to do. I don't want to see Tank against Lopez, I wanna see Tank unify 130 and become undisputed, which I think he's capable of doing and then go from there, if Teo's still at 135, which I highly doubt, then that fight would be interesting then but now it's not the right time imo.Comment

It’s not like Teo’s defense is elite either. We all saw Teo beat Loma but it wasn’t like he put on this masterful performance. And I’m a fan of Teo and picked him to beat Loma. But I thought the fight was disappointing to be honest.Floyd knows boxing so he's not letting Teo putting hands on Tank.
Teo stops him, Teo is the real deal at 135 and if your defense is not elite (like Tank) you're getting your face caved in unless you're a 6ft lightweight like that Nakatani japanese dude.
They will just use Teo's name to stay relevant just like they did with Loma and continue to fight flat footed latinos moving up from 118 for a TMT paycheck.Comment

It's better than Tank's defense TBH, Teo is a very athletic lightweight who probably weighs in around a shredded 154 on fight night, better all around, Tank would walk into something, his footwork is basic, he doesn't bring those angles that prevented Loma to get KTFO.
Teo is a bad match up if you are a shorter/smaller dude.
Teo will get beat, struggle by someone bigger from 147 with a freak long a77 reach ala Crawford or a guy being too big like Spence.
I think Teo walk through 140 quite comfortably, Ramirez got beat by Lomo in ams pretty easely, he's slow.
Maybe Taylor give him some fits.
Out of all the midgets (-135), I only gave Loma a chance to beat Teo and he lost so...Last edited by BillyBoxing; 11-27-2020, 06:45 PM.Comment

He’s all of those things but what Tank is is fast and explosive. I’d bet he’s faster than Teo slightly. And don’t get me wrong I’m not saying Tank would win. And if people made Teo the favorite I’d agree with that too. It's better than Tank's defense TBH, Teo is a very athletic lightweight who probably weighs in around a shredded 154 on fight night, better all around, Tank would walk into something, his footwork is basic, he doesn't bring those angles that prevented Loma to get KTFO.

But I think it’s a competitive fight. And I think Tank has some advantages being the smaller guy, because Tank fights small. Unfortunately we won’t get to see this fight mostly because of the timing.Comment
