***in casual! Canelo is a tremendous counter puncher and when you throw body shots you leave yourself open to counter punches. That’s why GGG didn’t throw body shots. So he didn’t get countered upstairs.
Man this forum is FULL of casuals. Dude do u even box??
So he completely ignores it? He supposed to of had the best body punch?

I don't know, I certainly wouldn't say GGG is better now. But these two delivered on two tremendous fights and I had both winning one fight 7-5.

I'm also not sure if GGG has slipped or the competition just got better. Every time he faces a tough fighter, he's in an absolute dog fight and a close, competitive scrap. GGG gives you your money's worth when matched up tough. Love it.

What 3-4 more per round??? The 99% a jab? Easiest and first punch you learn to use....

I maintain... they both fought for the money and with a view to rematch, trilogy (i.e. more money...) not interested...

Like this guy said. Ggg fought a safe fight behind a jab so as not to get countered as easy.

Well pretty much everybody except a few Canelo fans know GGG won the first fight. So they are probably 1-1. Plenty think GGG won the 2nd too

At best, Canelo is 1-1 with a mid 30’s GGG.

I have no doubts that Golovkin in his physical prime is a better fighter than Canelo... and that’s why they waited two years to fight him. At the end of the day boxing at a higher level it’s often about matchmaking and timing and even with that in his favour, Canelo has not been able to beat him convincingly and clearly lost one.

Canelo vs GGG series will fade. If Canelo continues fighting Champions even at higher weights and looks good, the benefit of doubt grows with Canelo looking great against GGG.

The reason why this karma is great is because Canelo inherited the debt of GGG vs Ward never happening or all the guys who “ducked” GgG years prior. The boxing gods favor Canelo over GGg in any point of time, and the gods didn’t appreciate pandering a country either.
