Typical rags to riches story. You can the kid out of the street, but you cant take the street out of the kid. Tyson had Cus D'Amato to keep him in line and when he passed Tyson never had that edge. Now that Ruiz has money I don't know if he can look up to that kind of trainer. Andy's father should have been honest with Andy and told him it was not Manny Robles fault he lost. If was the his lack of preparation for the rematch and AJ's preparation that caused the loss. There was nothing wrong with AJ in the first fight. He just did not respect Ruiz and got his butt kicked so bad Eddie Hearn cried. Up until the time AJ got knocked down nobody was saying he did not look right. The analyst said something like " Joshua is a ferocious finisher" after Ruiz got knocked down. They didn't say AJ doesn't look right maybe he cannot finish Ruiz. AJ was afraid to hurt Ruiz in the rematch. After you break a hornets nest you will never do it intentionally again. In the first fight Ruiz was that hornets nest. AJ had no excuses in the first fight. I am sure he trained the same for Ruiz as he did in all the previous fights which put him as the top HW before Ruiz beat him.

It was still funny seeing AJ fight scarred and backwards most of the fight. And when they did exchange Ruiz made AJ quit that noise...

Normal ring and in shape ruiz can beat AJ again. I mean he already made him quit once.

As usual your knack of showing yourself up with your ignorance is finely honed.
You obviously have never watched the fight you talk about as your description is as dumb as a wall mounted food delivery system.

I know I shouldn't feed the trolls, but you're like my "special" little pet troll and you looked to be starving for attention so I thought I'd throw you a bone.

It was "funny" to see Joshua come back with a completely different skill set that confounded his critics by doing something they all said he couldn't do (defensive box and move)?

He changed his style for that rematch fight completely, he showed another level of control to keep his distance and showed a whole new level of discipline to ensure he took his belts back with zero risk whatsoever.

I can see why a casual observer may think he was running all night, but anybody who has ever boxed can see how great a display of intelligent boxing it was.

I like Andy as a person, but he was fat for his fight with Dimitrenko, and has gotten bigger since. You could see AJ being rattled a little in the rematch, but Andy was just too fat too move.
If he had beaten AJ he could have made more for one or two fights, then just quit.

I am 51, and could drop 20 pounds in a month if I really worked at it. So cry me a river Andy.

As a grown man, Ruiz is responsible of his actions and getting his ass to the gym. Robles was only able to do so much if Ruiz didn’t have the ambition to keep training and improving.
