Floyd ducked the rematch, which was in the contract.
Actually wouldn't be a bad fight (maybe), boxing has been down this year, so why not have all the old school fighters comeback since the fighters now just want to fight safe fights.
This fight would sell, no doubt about it.

Wasn't this the fight that was supposed to be the night of the jabs for hoya? De la Hoya told the media that later on in the fight he was letting Mayweather hit him in the head hoping that Floyd would break his hand LOL. What a bad strategy he should have just pumped the jab man.

Oscar got robbed. What a Mega Rematch it would make. As boxing fans, let's promote it. Perfect for his comeback!
I doubt Oscar comes back. He has been saying he is coming back for many years now and he never does. I think Mayweather would slaughter him if they fought now. mayweather is taking much better care of his health and is aging much better than oscar. Most of the time i see Oscar he looks way over weight while Mayweather is always lean and young looking for his age.

I doubt he retired to avoid a rematch with Oscar. Why would he need to retire for that reason when he could just say no rematch as he did when Pac wanted a rematch.

There was a rematch clause, so he couldn’t just say no rematch. He retired to avoid the rematch, and also avoid the inevitable collision course with Margarito, Cotto, and Williams, which he was being pressured to fight.

I know, right. You saw what I and millions of others saw and want to see again in a rematch. Floyd is always in shape and Oscar thinks he can come back.

Oscar is too old. Friod pussed out of the rematch. DLH had a contract that's why the puss retired.

I scored it a draw live. Oscar done way better than I expected, so that probably swung it. Think I had it 116-112 Mayweather after rewatching it.

Had it happened in Sep 2008 at 147 like was rumoured, Floyd would have probably won easily as I think making 147 would have killed Oscar like it did against Pacquiao. Floyd should have cashed in really.

Weirdly I wouldn’t rule out the rematch happening. Floyd loves a payday and Oscar needs one.
