Bob should never have renewed his contract last time out, bob knew pbc are not interested in sharing the fight platform for any of there welterweights nor was crawford a big enough draw to cause them to want to make a deal... i think Arum extended budds contract to spite pbc by not letting them have all the top w.w in the division under them, so instead made a deal he simply couldnt afford for terence.. was good financially for budd but stung bob hard down the line. Esp with the whole no crowds... cost bob dearly so much so hes made it public knowledgeComment

November 23, 2020:
Real or not: Terence Crawford will leave Top Rank at the end of his contract
Brett Okamoto: Real. And look, it's easy to say that right now. The Crawford/Top Rank relationship isn't exactly rosy at the moment. Crawford isn't happy the promotion hasn't secured him the biggest fights at welterweight. And Top Rank believes Crawford is partially to blame for that and can be difficult to work with. When you've got Bob Arum publicly stating he has lost money promoting Crawford -- it's probably safe to say the relationship has soured. But ... if Top Rank can secure that big fight for Crawford in early 2021, it could obviously go a long way in repairing all this. Top Rank president Todd duBoef told me this week he has already re-engaged parties in the Middle East to discuss a potential Crawford-Manny Pacquiao fight in the first half of next year.
He also said Pacquiao has told Top Rank he is free, contractually, to pursue that fight. If Crawford gets Pacquiao -- the fight he has said is his No. 1 target -- in the next six months, perhaps he ends up extending his deal with Top Rank, as well. But ultimately, a parting of ways feels more likely. Crawford seems to think he might be better off elsewhere, and while Top Rank wants him, I don't think they'll beg for him to stay.

Arum failed to deliver on big fights. End of story. He can try to blame Crawford, but the fact is Bob failed.Comment

People say that Crawford's never fought anybody but Spence is hardly any better. He's been a world title holder since early 2017 but he's only started taking even remotely worthwhile fights since late 2019. Everything between him taking the title off of Brook and fighting Porter honestly just completely failed to live up to the level of hype that he was given after winning the title and fought a string of guys who had no business being in the ring with him. What Crawford accomplished in the same timespan was arguably more impressive even though he's supposed to be the one with the lame record.
A lot of blindness and hypocrisy around this, it's not just Crawford that needs Spence, but Spence needs Crawford as well. Neither guy can definitively claim to be the best in the division until he's beaten the other.Comment

This statement was ghost written for him. He doesn't talk like that.
I bet he really said:
"uh, Bob Arum is a wounded duck. What's he gon do? Old, short armed...he gon get the ***** beat out of him!"
And the publicist had to clean it up.Comment
