It has occurred to me that some of you are simpletons that don’t know what being ones own promoter means. Is a promoter a matchmaker? Is a promoter a legal team that draws up contracts? Is the promoter an advisor or manager who knows all the angles and who’s job it is to get the best deal for his client? No. Being ones own promoter means you no longer have to pay someone 25-30% of your money that’s rightfully yours. It means you and your own promotional company (always run by a CEO) deals with finding the venue and makes the deals with vendors and therefore gets to keep more of the backend money that comes from sales of food, alcohol, merch, etc etc. It’s precisely why PBC fighters make more money than fighters with promotional deals who are forking over 25% of their purse, paying the taxes for the promoter, and allowing the promoter to make all the money from the backend.

This fight should be split 50/50. Neither are bigger than the other. Crawford bombing on PPV due to fighting a shot Khan is something Spence would do too. If Crawford had the chance to fight Mikey, although smaller, he would do the same numbers as Spence.

I base things on like for like situations as well as numbers. And i have this fight being 50/50 split.

The protection program? You have the PBC and TR mixed up. Arum would put pretty much any fight together if they were in his stable. Yes, a few fights over the years have gone by the wayside, but the vast majority do happen. The same can never be said for PBC.

It’s funny how Crawford has had 2 ppv fights which both had very low buys. Most of Crawford’s fights have been non ppv because top rank can’t sell them. That says allot about what we need to know.

This was a 50/50 split until Errol unified, had success on PPV, and Terrance failed on PPV. That’s how it goes l. Not every fight is 50/50. If Terrance beats Pacquaio we are having a different conversation going into a Spence fight. But if Spence beats Pac first, then even more of the purse goes to Spence.

Styles make fights. Spence will not get any bigger PPV than Crawford... realistically speaking. I like how many accountants are into boxing though... or are they personal lawyers? Who knows. I'm just a boxing fan who knows Crawford is #1-2 P4P no matter how many alphabet belts he has.
