Comments Thread For: Conor Benn: The Formella Fight Will Answer A lot of Questions

Fighting might be in the genes for Conor Benn, but if he does fail to reach the same heights as his famous dad, he says it will not be for the lack of hard work. Natural talent is no substitute for learning.

I wouldn’t say a test. He showed real toughness but didn’t win a round on my card.

Easily the best guy Benn has fought, as he’s fought nobody with a pulse yet.

I'm actually looking forward to it

I know some of the Americans will trash him because he'll never be world class

But, I enjoy watching some of these domestic level guys develop from Novice to competing for domestic titles

Feels similar in a way to Dave Allen. Not ever going to win a world title but a little bit of potential, heart and personality makes me want to watch them

Yeah he didn't win a round but he showed that he will be a good test for Benn and others coming up . If Benn wins impressively I'll take him more serious afterward

If he stops him maybe. Beating him on points won’t mean much to me. Formella isn’t massively skilled nor is he a dangerous puncher. He’s just tough and game.

Benn is a major fraud IMO, hasn’t even won an area title and he’s talking about world titles, I just can’t take him serious. This would admittedly be his first credible win.

They’re trying to cleverly navigate him into a big fight without taking any real risks.
