It is a mismatch, but Pulev deserves a shot.

Pulev saw what Ruiz did and in his own head got alot braver, he had ducked out of a couple opportunities to face AJ at that point but he now sees Joshua as bestable as well as seeing this as his final opportunity to win World titles.

I think a few crunchers to his face may well make him shell up and go in to survival mode but I think he will atleast start the fight aggressive and positive.

I have no interest in anybody moaning at AJ or Hearn taking this fight as it is a mandatory title defence. Moan at the sanctioning bodies for that if you have a problem with it not the champion.

Pulev is a worthy challenger, he has only been beaten once 'By Wladimir Kiltschko, who he fought like a madman' but even by fighting Kiltschko like a madman, he made it exciting and gave it a good go etc

I still think Joshua should brutalize him, but make no doubt about it? Pulev in my opinion, has enough boxing skills and durability to take Tyson Fury 12 rounds.

I am not sure what the issue is? There are levels in the sport in boxing. Just because Pulev is not quite on the level of Joshua 'This does not mean that he is a abysmal fighter'.
Mate he got knocked out in 5 rounds by Klitchko 5yrs ago when he was 34yrs old, now he is 39, he isn't gonna be any better than he was then, he is old.
It speaks volumes about the state of heavyweight boxing that Pulev and Povetkin are still considered a danger to current younger heavyweights.
If he gives Joshua a competitive fight then it says more about Joshua and poor he is than how great Pulev is.

I agree, this fight has to be taken as bad as it is, it a mandatory but Hearn/sky ramping this fight right up to £25 for this matchup that no one asked for except the sanctioning body is pure greed on their part.....period!

Pulev is nothing like Ruiz. But he won 2 IBF eliminator fights, so he gets a shot.

Pulev deserves his title shot 'That is the start and end of this discussion'.

You see? This is the problem with the idea that PEOPLE want boxing to be regulated like the UFC. All this will do is breed mass discrimination within boxing 'This guy cannot fight because he is this old, this guy should not fight because he is this weight, this guy cannot fight because he is this tall, that guy is creepy I don't want to see him fight' seriously if boxing was run by fans, and people who value the fans opinion abit too much 'That is how it would be run'.

I will repeat again 'Pulev is 39 years of age, and is not a normal everyday individual, he is a professional athlete'. Do I believe Joshua will win the fight? Yes.

But the fact remains, that Pulev deserves his title shot.

The heavyweight division is the most competitive division in boxing 'It is not one of the greatest era's in terms of pure ability, but it is extremely competitive'.

Yeah that really is disappointing. They did one before at that price but very much hinted at it being a one off due to the size of the fight. Yet here we are. Yes AJ is a marquee fighter in the UK but that is not a marqee fight.

Although Joshua in my opinion needs to make a statement, and continue his rebuilding process 'Joshua is still rebuilding from his loss to Andy Ruiz Junior'.

It would be good if Joshua brutalizes Pulev, then celebrates like Mike Tyson did after beating Marvis Fraizer 'Let it all out'.
Pulev v Wlad was about 6 years ago though. Pulev is about 40 now.

Still, it’s a mandatory title fight so it is what it is.

Pulev is a bit awkward on his best day, that’s about it.

AJ shouldn’t have too much trouble with a 40 year old Pulev.
