[QUOTE=GhostofDempsey;20901885]What risks did Floyd take? When was he ever at a disadvantage? How often was he the smaller man in the ring or the underdog? We won’t even get into his three gift decisions and how he was caught with an illegal IV.
Manny’s fan base is not limited to Filipinos. He is respected globally.[/QUOTE
————
Floyd moved up to 140 in 2005. He went after Gatti and then called out Hatton and Cotto. They both turned him down. Both said they weren’t ready for a guy that was coming up from 135. This was confirmed by both Cotto and Hatton.
In 2007 he fought Oscar at 154 because Oscar demanded it. Oscar also demanded glove size, judges, refs and ring size.
As for risks, exactly who was Floyd supposed to fight that was a risk?

Those are facts no matter how much it hurts your bleeding v@gina.
These guys believe that PAC’s poop is actually cheesecake and his vomit is some strawberry sherbet dessert.
It’s like talking to a tree. They believe that he’s also the greatest senator ever and that he should be president.
Manny could come out and say he’s gay and all these religious zealots will say ****sexuality is the best thing on the planet.

He should have been DQ’d in that fight as well. Corralles was weight drained at 130 and just getting over bronchitis.
See how this works?
I’m engaging you in this debate because I assume you research what you say.
So, let’s start with Canelo, after Canelo beat Cintron, he called Floyd out and then said he would be willing to meet Floyd at a catchweight because Floyd is a WW while he was a Jr MW. Proof of that is belowt. Floyd did not call out Canelo and neither did he demand any catchweight. This is a fact

Margarito cheated to beat Cotto. He had loaded gloves and was banned from boxing for a year. This is a fact.
PAC demands a catchweight to fight Cotto who according to you had already lost to Margarito so he wasn’t the same.
Cotto wins a belt at 154 and then fights Floyd. That was Cotto’s weight and Floyd made zero demands to anything.
How did he duck Margarito. Floyd and Arum were never going to work together but after Margarito was destroyed by Mosley, guess who fought Mosley and beat him from pillar to post. The only thing people remember is the 2nd round.
Guess who fought Mosley after that. Your boy PAC. Why would PAC fight a guy that Floyd just beat? Same reason he fought Cotto after Cotto lost to Margarito, I presume.
Plenty of people thought Floyd beat Oscar despite all the advantages Oscar set.
Castillo and Maidana were close fights and Floyd rematched them and beat them. That was the end of it.
I could say Marquez beat PAC 4 times. The last fight Marquez put all doubts to rest and destroyed PAC. It wasn’t a lucky punch because he dropped PAC with the same punch in the 3rd round. There is no such thing as a lucky punch in boxing.
Zab lost to Baldomir yes but Floyd fought Baldomir first and beat him. After that is when he fought Zab who was holding on to one belt. As for being DQ’d, it’s the ref’s decision and he didn’t. The exact same way that PAC should have been DQ’d for hitting Marquez while Marquez was down (in their first fight) but we don’t bring that up. You guys are obsessed with Castillo.
Zaheer Raheem beat Morales and then called out PAC. Guess who PAC fought? Morales, who literally just lost to Zaheer.
Corrales was a champ at 130. He was undefeated and bigger than Floyd. If he didn’t train well or was sick that was his problem. Nobody forced him to take the fight. That’s just you guys trying to discredit Floyd.
Do me a favor please. Every point I made can be verified online. I’d like to hear you discredit them.

Floyd ducked Mosley at 135. Mosley called him up and Floyd said no. Mosley moved on to 147 shortly after. Floyd waited for him to age out and lose a step before finally fighting him. Same way he waited until Cotto was softened up.
He openly admits he marinated the Pacquiao fight for five years, so we know he avoided PAC at his best. PAC was robbed of a win in his first fight with JMM when Clements failed to score the third knockdown for Manny. Technically, Manny should be up 3-1. Anyone who knows anything about boxing or training athletes could see the transformation JMM took on while being trained my a known drug cheat. He had all of the tell tale signs of PED use.
Baldomir had nine losses when they fought. He was never great.
Floyd’s entire career is smoke and mirrors, a product of timing opponents careers when they were never at their best.
We can go back and forth 100 more times and still not agree here. If you want to waste any further time arguing be my guest. I have other topics to post on.
