I remember all of those Roldan fights. Rugged and tough are understatements. Rest in power to the Argentinian dairy farmer

May he rest peacefully but boy

Was he a tuff SOB! I remember the Hearns fight well being from Detroit and this guy gave Hearns hell; especially being unknown and Hagler a tuff fight as well.

        Rest Peacefully Champ!

Sad news. The fight with Hearns was an absolute thriller. Most wouldn't have got through the first two rounds, but Roldan had Hearns swaying badly in the fourth, until Tommy found the finisher.

All time tough guy. His fights with Hagler and Hearns are worth a watch if you haven't seen them.

Sad news, indeed. Always enjoyed watching Roldan fight. Tough as nails, relentless, huge power. And at the risk of creating a firestorm of attacks on me... that was not an 'accidental' thumb to the eye that Hagler threw. Watch the fight again and you will clearly see Hagler's discouraged facial expression as Roldan was indeed getting the best of him. Seconds later he threw the thumbing punch and then Roldan couldn't see out the bad eye. I watched the fight live on TV. That's the way it happened.

R.I.P., champ. This pandemic is nothing to ignore, folks. We all have to take it seriously or we'll never get a handle on it.
