The 51-year-old Roy Jones Jr. has not fought in a professional boxing match since scoring a unanimous decision win against Scott Sigmon in 2018. For all intents and purposes, the former pound-for-pound king of the 20th century had finally decided to call it a career. His next most significant boxing achievement was supposed to be voted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame as a first-ballot inductee in 2021 when the new candidates were released.

I thought Roy accepted an open challenge that was out there (for an exhibition) for any decent past fighter to accept - particularly a heavyweight.....

Iow, I thought Roy volunteered for a payday....Roy’s recent past fights have been highlight reels of him getting KO’d for being strapped for big cash.....Mike wasn’t looking for Roy per se.....Roy’s inevitably doing some promoting....,

He should've quit after getting starched by big Enzo Mac. Nothing left to prove after that, you've done it all.
The nearer this fight gets the more I'd rather it was cancelled.

Eerily prophetic that kicking the bucket would occur to Roy when thinking about this fight.

Roy has next to zero chance , even if Mike was only allowed to use his right hand I’d still favor him .

There's something fundamentally dishonest about constantly insisting an exhibition is a real fight in the way that Tyson and RJJ are doing. Customer is told they are buying a real fight. Customer hands over money. Customer gets given exhibition fight. That is wrong. In nearly all walks of life it's illegal.

Roy loves to box, once his wall was broken down loses didnt matter any more he could just enjoy his boxing.
