However, one must point out, all my Wilder hating comes from plain ol' logic. I'll never disagree that he is certainly a phenomenal (however overrated by the masses) puncher, but the guy's performances and opponents speak for themselves lol

On the ol' "yea but Collins got beat to death" and "Margarito had plaster of Paris in his wraps (importantly bolded; the current conspiracy theory is that Fury had foreign objects in his gloves, not dodgy wraps or no padding)", that was over a decade ago. You're basically saying the exact same measures and checks, by the exact same individuals, are being carried out in this day and age. Just, no. Did the athletic commissions retrieve the gloves and wraps post-fight in 2008? They definitely didn't in the 80s for Collins.

Unless a member of the athletic commission comes out and says "yea but dem man paid me to lie doe"...then it's exactly what it's being currently painted as...a conspiracy theory.

Those same checks determined Fury's gloves hadn't been tampered with. Multiple people have confirmed that the post-fight checks were carried out. So that comparison falls flat on it's face in a giant pile of giraffe doodoo. Folks can't pick and choose which aspects of a particular example they want to use just because it fits their bitter narrative.

Resto was caught because the athletic commission inspected the gloves, at the request of team Collins, and found that padding had indeed been removed. Its not like Collins' dad felt the lack of padding, told the commission and bish bash bosh...padding was removed because Collins' dad said so!

I think the commission did their due diligence at that particular time. They probably checked the gloves (i believe they only checked gloves once in those days, sometimes before the fight, and they wasn't as strict with observing the fighters as they are now) and the padding was sneakily removed sometime afterwards. Which, back to improvements, is why the gloves are now inspected multiple times before a fight and once afterwards.

I'll put more weight in what the athletic commission has to say over an intellectually challenged hype job or his legions of equally as dim fans that watch YouTube videos from racists who initially used footage from the first fight as their evidence
