What if Crawford went to Golden Boy?

Now that Canelo is no longer in his stable, Oscar can turn Crawford into a superstar. Many believe that Oscar doesn’t know how to promote African American fighters, but I’m sure Mayweather, Broner, Mosley, and many others can show otherwise. In fact, you can even argue that Oscar had more success promoting African American fighters than he did Hispanic. I know that there’s hardly anyone in Oscar’s stable at 147, but I’m sure PBC would be willing to work with Oscar more than Arum.

My understanding is that Bud Crawford only has a few months left on the contract.

“Probably like a few months, few months, it ain’t that long,”
Crawford said about how much time he has left on his contract with Top Rank. “Correct, it’s always been that way,” said Crawford about him leaving Top Rank if he doesn’t get the fights he wants.

If that's the case he should go the Mikey Garcia and Pacquiao route. One fight deal at a time to the highest bidder.

Pacquiao vs Crawford in Abu Dhabi would be huge.

He wont become a star there. A wooden plank has more personality than Crawford.

        Well there it is.

Maybe PBC would be more willing to work with GBP...but if Bud went directly to PBC, that extra unnecessary layer is altogether eliminated and the only thing that would keep him from getting a fight that he really wants is IF Porter, Spence, Thurman, Danny et al all come up with excuses.

It annoys me that this is considered to be a factor ahead of a fighter's skills. Is this a professional sport or the WWE?

Maybe Oscar can share some coke, fishnets and kitchen utensils with Crawford to entice him to sign. Lay off the crack pipe.
