Smith is a tougher opponent by about 10 miles in my opinion.

If this is to compare Buds fight against Canelos, it’s not even close. Smith right now is miles better than shot to hell Brook.
Prime Brook was never the best in his division. Callum has been #1 at 168 for awhile

All jokes aside(!!!), I don't know enough about Smith to comment.

I actually make it an unofficial rule - imagine if all of NSB did this - that I'll only call a fight if I've seen at LEAST three fights of both fighters.

I believe I've only seen Smith twice... against Groves, and then that last one, which I watched because I heard it was a massive robbery, and just sat there quite bored. (I did a thread, I can't recall my score, but ISTR Ryder didn't do a lot in the first half... I can't remember. It was a lot more tedious than I expected a "terrible robbery" fight to be).

Brook's career is a shame, as the guy did have something... he was ahead at the halfway stage against Spence, and had beaten (technically limited) Porter. But that GGG fight.

I haven't really seen anything all that special in Smith, but the guy's got two arms, two legs, is 8 inches taller and has over a 7 inch reach advantage, so I guess you've got to give him a chance.

It's boxing, so - within reason - you can't write anyone off, can you? Though Canelo will probably have a bit of his special meat and get the scorecards written out already anyway, but it's fairly intriguing...

I swear if Callum comes to America and sh^t the Bed too then I might be done with British Boxing other than Fury

Ok Not really but I hope he doesn't come and get steam rolled by Canelo. Brits are a Prideful Bunch a lot of them are just happy to see one of their Countryman get a big opportunity. Just about a week ago some of them was holding out hope for Kell Brook against Crawford

            Fury and Josh Taylor.

I have no problem giving Brits credit when they're actually good and prove it, like those two.
