Gatti's a warrior and i think that one more fight is possible but any more than that is pushing it too far. i respect the man for his heart and capabilities so just one more victory would send him out on a high

I agree with DLT, but I think he should just retire after his next fight, and hopefully go out winning. Too many wars = bad for his brain...Comment

There are hundreds of fighters who Gatti could beat easily that continue to fight and no one calls for their retirement. It just so happens that many fighters who are at the top of their division, choose to fight on rather than retire once they start to fall a little bit.
People are calling for Holyfield, Bowe, Jones Jr., and now Gatti to retire. Maybe it's selfish for the fans; these are men who have dedicated much of their lives to a sport they love. If you don't want to see Gatti fight at a lower level than he once did, tune out. But as long as he's medically cleared and he's fighting voluntarily, he should be able to do whatever he wants and not face harsher criticism than that guy at the armory fighting 6-rounders who should have retired ten years ago. Just because he was once champ doesn't mean his career should only last when he's a legitimate threat to be champ again.
Holyfield will probably win tonight. Jones Jr. just won again. Bowe is undefeated in his comeback. And there are a number of guys Gatti can still beat, even if they're not Top 10-caliber fighters...Comment

the problem with being medically cleared is that things like brain damage and loss of motor functions tend to happen later for alot of fighters even if they have been cleared. hell, Ali was cleared medically to fight Holmes even though he literally had a HOLE in his brain due to the parkinsons, thanks to Don Kings handy work. damn will some of you people finally be satisfied if he ends up on the canvas out cold and twitching? he's absored a ****load of punishment, enough is enough, even if he can't say no to the money or limelight.Comment

He is fighting on?
Oh no please for his own sake, he should retire now.
Yes he is still capable of giving us some pretty good and exciting fights but that's all he can accomplish. His chances of capturing a title at 147 is very slim so he mioght as well just enjoy life away from the ring, not unless of course it is just for the money.Comment
