ESPN is full of **** with their replays. When the fight was over, one of the replays showed a headbutt, along with one of the announcers saying that could have cause the eye swelling. After that, that clip of the replays was never shown again. I went back and rewinded it on my DVR and saw that clip

That clip shows their heads coming close but it does not look like the angle was right for it to do the damage that we saw. We do see a jab land flush and the eye immediately start swelling up though and I'm pretty sure that swelling happens before this "headbutt replay" that doesn't definitely show anything.ESPN is full of **** with their replays. I need to re-watch the fight because I was watching it from my phone at a restaurant but from what I saw it looked like it should have been a TKO for Moloney.
Believe me I wanted Franco to win and thought he was but you have to be fair Moloney came to win and after having a bad night last time he started good shame the fight ended the way it did but a rematch is definitely in order.
People can't be mad at Oscar for what he said because he was just being honest just like a lot of people are saying they didn't see a headbutt either. It is a shame that nobody from Golden Boy showed up on behalf of Franco but if Oscar didn't show up to Canelos biggest fight against Floyd lol it shouldn't come as a surprise.Comment

The swelling was caused by a thumb and all the jabs Franco ate after that. I saw no head butt. Instead of lashing out at Fishnets for telling the truth, Garcia should have had his fighter better prepared. Franco looked sluggish, was fighting like garbage and was well on his way to getting schooled for twelve rounds. I saw no improvement from the first fight which he was losing until Maloney faded.Comment

Their heads came together only once and that was on Franco's left side. His right eye is the one that swelled. A Maloney thumb from an attempted jab caused the swelling.ESPN is full of **** with their replays. It was a punch right in the eyeball. It was not even necessarily the thumb part since they are thumbless gloves you can get the knuckle part with a perfect punch to land right smack in the eyeball. A headbutt would have done more damage to the eyebrow. Notice that the swelling was not the eyebrow Ridge or the temple. It was right around the eye itself. Your head is a lot bigger than your fist. This was a punch to the eye.
Oscar De La Hoya's just being honest.Comment
