Now You Know Why Promoters Don't Work Together: Joe Tessitore PERFECT EXAMPLE

As I did and watch the Maloney v Franco debacle, I think to myself....ESPN should be ashamed of itself and if I were a non Top Rank fighter I am unsure if they could pay me enough money to fight on a Top Rank card.

Since WHEN do the announcers involve themselves in the outcome of a fight? Listen, I was ROOTING for Maloney, but I became SICKENED when see Joe Tessitore literally have a meltdown on live TV, screaming at the commission to do a replay. Something tells me that if it were reversed that CASUAL CLOWN Joe Tessitore would have had a completely different attitude (seeing as Franco is with Golden Boy.

So HEAR YE' HEAR YE'. Any "opponent" fightig on a Top Rank/ESPN card, it is clear as day that the announcers will not only sway public opinion about the outcome of a fight, but in my 45+ years of boxing.....this is the FIRST TIME I have ever seen the announcers directly effect the outcome of the fight.

Once again, please ask yourself if it were the Golden Boy fighter who had a wrong call made against him, would Joe The Stooge Clown Arum Sucking Tessitore have the same ferver and lose all integrity?

This is a sad day for boxing, and to be honest, I am digusted to the point I don't think I can stimach to watch the Crawford/Brook fight. I'll tell you this...Kell Brook is potentially my least favorite active boxer, but as this point I am rooting for him.
So ***** ESPN if they do not immediatly fire the clown who abused his position to directly efffect the outcome of a fighter he was obviously rooting for. Once again, I have been around and have watched sports of all type for well over 50 years. This is by far the most disgusted I have ever been my an announcer (and I have no vested interest) I'm out.

This isn’t about promoters. It’s about calling what is right. There was no headbutt. They got it wrong even after reviewing for twenty minutes.

It was some of the most biased, unprofessional sports journalism I've ever seen and it's completely irrelevant what the actual truth will turn out to be.

There's a way you go about things like this while maintaining the appearance of objectivity and lately ESPN always seems to fail miserably at it.

      They need to fix that.

This is actually a good take - the announcers are so clearly company men these days, it does make it more difficult to make big fights with people like that in the mix.
