Can't say I've bothered with the women's stuff much.
That's the problem: there isn't someone else elite-ish.

The talent pool is microscopic; there's the same amount of world titles but 1/100th of the fighters.

Delphine Persoon was a security guard trained by her boyfriend and beat the brakes off Taylor first go-around. It's totally normal to see a woman in her late thirties who started boxing a few years prior fight for and even win world titles in womens boxing.

For there to be credibility in the sport, there has to be a grassroots attraction for women to start boxing. It happened in women's MMA, but women's boxing remains a joke.

I’d say Taylor has the highest IQ in women’s boxing but there have been several better athletes.

First of all there are there are too many weight classes in boxing period. With the talent pool in woMen’s boxing about 20x less than men, there should be half the weight classes with rehydration clauses. That will help with the bs.

If Taylor wants the stoppage then she should go to the body. The Spaniard has adjusted to the power

I like KT But I’ve noticed that she fades a lot late. Punches are still accurate and sharp but she fights in spurts a lot and rests.

                  Taylor has no power really

Even the knockdown was more down to hand speed

Katie Taylor made easy work of Miriam Gutierrez as she retained her undisputed world lightweight title with a landslide unanimous points decision at the SSE Arena, Wembley. Back at the venue where she made her professional debut four years ago, Taylor, 34, put in an immaculate performance. If there was any criticism it was only that she didn't have the power to stop the Spaniard.
