It was a knock down for sure, but doesn't matter. Fighters get knocked down, no big deal. He wasn't badly hurt, recovered and did his thing. Most of the all time greats have got knocked down. It's boxing and no one is immune to knockdowns. People/media look for ways tear a fighter down at every chance.

Imagine being so dominant that some half ass knockdown is the highlight worst career moment youve had so far that everyone wants to focus on. I mean, its not like hes out here getting gifts from judges in fights he really lost. So what if there was a brief knockdown in a fight he eventually won by stoppage.

I would also add that Bud made it a moot point by stopping him. Critics mention this over and over as if Crawford won a split decision by one point.
