I rate Floyd p4p GOAT and while plenty here will scoff and bring up some old ****er none of them ****s are ever in history section so that alone ought to cue you in on how knowledgeable and interested they are in the historical figures they claim are better than Floyd.

How many “champions” there are in today’s boxing, I wouldn’t use that as a brag for Mayweather.
Mayweather himself is quoted as saying there are too many belts.
I hate seeing that argument lol

Ps. I rate Duran higher than Mayweather in terms of skills and achievements.

False. If Phloyd was a true great he would not discredit and diminish true all time greats because of his innate jealousy and insecurity.

ALso if Fraud weather was a true great he would not have ducked Margarito, Cotto, Tszyu, Casamayor, Winky, Williams, Martinez, GGG 154, Thurman, Pac for six years and the rematch for 5 years now.

That's fine my man, I'm not going to trash Duran to up May.

However, bit of food for thought ain't harsh on anyone's legacy; communist states did not box during Roberto's career.

What good is a "world" champion when huge portions of the world are not participating?

I'd say they're about equal in that regard. The oldens had less belts, less fighters too, less nations to perform in, smaller accomplishments got you top ten world ranked more quickly, and, the infrastructure, or lack there of, allowed for a whole lot more record padding.

In 1980, When Roberto his absolute best win over SRL, the WW division's top ten had such amazing talent as Luis Primera whose opposition's combined record by 1980 is 28-42 with 5 debutants mixed in. I don't see anyone like that today on any top ten.

Right before Roberto fought Leonard he fought a 7-2-1. When in Floyd's champion level career was a 7-2-1 acceptable? You don't see anyone today allowed to pad against such under experienced and over-matched competition.

Yeah, Roberto fought everyone and did well, but who was there to fight? That's why old resumes are like five names.

Based on his talent, and accolades, yes, just.

Based on his resume, no chance, barely gets into the top 50 for me

Skills Where Floyd could be the GOAT of:

              Defense
              Body jab
              Pull counter
              Check hook

And Floyd was versatile. Floyd had different styles unlike Ali and Armstrong. Floyd a master outfighter/counterpuncher and versatile
