Halmich opponent named!
Another hot Russian heavyweight, Denis Boystov, highlights Sept 9 undercard
Female world champions are coming to Magdeburg, Germany on September 9. In the headliner of the next "Universum Champions Night" event, female ring legend Reigina Halmich (50-1-1) defends her WIBF flyweight title against Ria Ramnarine (10-4). Besides Halmich, Spotlight world champion Ina Menzer and Universum world champion Alesia Graf defend their world titles and unbeaten Julia Sahin (jr. flyweight) and Susi Kentikian (flyweight) will also see action. Unfortunately Natascha Ragosina from the SES boxing team injured her hand during a sparring session and won’t be able to defend her female super middleweight title. (More)
On the men's side, unbeaten Russian heavyweight Denis Boytsov (15-0, 14 KOs) will fight for the WBC Youth world title against Czech Ondrej Pala (11-1-0, 8 KOs). Also on the card are unbeaten Spotlight super middleweights Karoly Balzsay (12-0, 8 KOs) and Dimitri Sartison (17-0, 12 KOs), plus cruiserweight Rudolf Kraj (8-0, 6 KOs). Balzsay will face Etienne Whitaker (32-21-2, 21 KO).
