Tommy Fury threatens Marsellos Wilder

Who knows, I’ve heard some rate him, in terms of potential anyway. The name probably helps though, but not every Fury can be Tyson.

He’s still very young for a light heavyweight though and obviously surrounded by people who know the game inside out, so if they move him right and learns on the job, he might do alright.

I don’t think anyone’s expecting him to take over the division haha My main point was that he would smash someone like Wilder’s brother because Wilder’s brother gets knocked out by the guys that Tommy Fury will be knocking out to learn on the job

I don’t really like to use the term bum for guys who are getting in the ring, but Wilder’s brother is the very definition of a bum in boxing

I just don’t really see anything in him. Looks like a rabbit in the headlights whenever he’s in the ring, winging punches. He only had 12 amateur fights so he should have stayed amateur and done some development if he was serious about boxing. Just feels like him and BT are trying to cash in on whatever celebrity status he got from love island.

Yeah he probably should’ve stayed in the amateurs longer.

To be fair though, he had already turned pro the year before he went into Love Island so I don’t think it’s just cashing in on the back of that. probably more the fact he is Tyson’s brother and knows he’s going to get on televised cards just on that alone.

With all that said, he’s obviously made decent money away from boxing and probably still could. So the fact he’s training and getting in the ring shows at least he is dedicated. It’s not like he needs to be fighting on Mark Heffron‘s undercard for a few quid.

he has a pretty decent jab, moves well and has power.

he obviously needs a lot of ironing and sharpening, but he has some good basics to make it as a pro.
