Beating Ugas won't do shieet for Thurman.

Ugas has nothing that Spence wants.

Spence wants to be undisputed.

That means he fighting Pacquiao and then Crawford next and then moving up to 154.

I think that fighting and beating a top guy would be better than demanding fights based on what he (Thurman) did 3-4 years ago. There are no guarantees that Spence will get Pacquiao or Crawford so if Thurman wants to be relevant then he needs to get off the sidelines and get active.

I remember the games Keith played with Crawford and Spence when he held the belts. He cut the line and got the Pacquiao fight he really did not deserve. Once it became clear there would no more Manny bags for him, he now finds himself on the outside looking in. He has no belts, no relevance and nothing the other top welterweights need. He will have to fight someone like Ugas or Lipinets in order to get back in position to be important again, but he won't want to do any work to get back to the top. So he may as well retire or move up to 154 and try his luck, but from the looks of things, his time at the top of 147 is finished, whether he accepts that truth or not.
