He also said Spence needs him more than he needs Spence. That’s just the art of negotiation. He said he wants 4 fights and they’re all pbc. I don’t think bud is the type of fighter to be scared of another or over concerned about his 0.——————
He keeps talking about he doesn’t feel like he needs Spence to enhance his legacy. Also says he’s accomplished everything in this sport.
Those statements define Bud’s mindset - even if he were to leave TR, he’s not about to chase Spence or Porter. Those are the only fights fans care about and he knows it that’s why he keeps regurgitating the shït he keeps saying.
Mark my words, Crawford will only fight Spence if that fight is forced upon him by fans.
Him and PAC are sadly a waste of talent. So many fights could have been madeComment

Good idea, you need a lot of money to do promotions. He can do it like Errol and not really be signed to pbc, but work with them closely or when Floyd worked closely with golden boy but was never signed. Promoters want the money going to the networks they choose, networks want guarantees from promoters about their product. Unless you’re huge always ppv, it’s hard to do.Comment

Crawford is 33 and 2020 is over. At 34, you think he’s going to start chasing after Spence or Porter?
How can you say he’s a sure shot HOF fighter? Based on his unification of 140? It’s possible but it wasn’t a spectacular ride.
Crawford has done ZERO at WW to be considered a HOF fighter.
Crawford has to fight Spence and beat him. I don’t think he beats Spence but that’s a whole different topic. I don’t even think he beats Porter.Comment

You’re not a HOF bc of a weight class but because of a career. There aren’t many undisputed champs and he was one. And he was champ at 135. Three division former unified champ undefeated p4p top fighter in the sport. Yes, clearly HOF.—————

Fair enough.
I think the P4P conversation seems to carry him a lot.
Broner is a three division titlist but I can’t imagine him being discussed as a potential future hall of famer unless he does something spectacular.
If Crawford fights Spence and gets beat, then he falls in the same category as Broner. He can’t run from Spence forever.Comment

I see what you’re getting at, difference being Broner won each belt and moved up shortly after. He achieved all of his highs before age 25. Then had several years of lesser performances. Crawford has been champ since he got his first belt, apart from short periods when he moved up. It’s a lot of years of championship fighting, even though the contenders have not been the best—————-

He is making a big money there, fighting nobodies or washed up guys.
He made much more money fighting the shadow of Brook than Spence and Porter fighting each other or Thurman fighting Pacquiao.
he will probably stay by Top rank.Comment

He’d be smart to leave. Bob can’t guarantee him the good fights. Maybe manny. Just like bradley he’d be choosing money over legacy by staying with bob. Which you can’t get too mad atComment
