In a way it’s too bad it did as well as it did. Fighters might be willing to hold off on big fights for dreams of it being worth so much more down the road. Once people think it might never happen it becomes a huge deal when it finally does. I remember how many people said Floyd vs Manny would never happen, I don’t know if they actually believed it though. I always thought there was just too much money to be made. I saw both fighters come up, like them both. I don’t think these/most guys are physically scared of anyone. They fight for a living. They just want to make sure they get the most chop as possible and as many terms their way as they can get. None of these guys would fight “winner takes all”.
