This must hurt deeply. What a meal ticket Canelo must be for any promoter. I know Oscar did a lotta lines behind this ****

Oscar gets a lot of shiet for his vices, who doesnt enjoy a bump or two, but he always seems to shoot from the hip and always wishes well of other fighters. Very respectful/honest of the game whether hes the promoter or not. Here hes just telling it like it is,he feels canelo and obviously himself had a great contract from DAZN. 35mil for canelo and 5mil for his company's card??what's not to like for both? Seems like oscar is pretty confident, almost kindve mocking canelo that the chances of him making more money on his own,in todays climate, isnt gonna happen. Interesting to see how it pans out. Was going to start a thread about who you believe Canelos 2 most realistic, profitable future ppv dance partners will be and what you project the buys at...but theres already a **** ton of canelo threads. I'd say Jermall followed by Benavidez and nobody knows who the fuvk they are so I'm guessing around 400k buys max, either one.Comment

As of now he is the PPV king and brings the most money into boxing. This is a theocracy where the king rules who brings the coin.
Ungrateful? This is a business not BFFs for life. You mean to tell me that if a competitor came to you tomm and said hey we’ll take you for 15% more you wouldn’t be out the door? Canelo gets to fight on his terms and controls his own destiny. There’s no better feeling in the world. Oscar assisted yes but didn’t make him. Canelo’s greatness did that. When a boxer outgrows his promoter who takes a large cut of the profit it’s time to move on and make your own money. That’s called capitalism my friend.

Canelo isn’t “most fighters.”

Great buys no doubt but those were against marketable, well established fighters pre-pandemic. Who do you think Canelos two most lucrative but realistic ppv fights are against currently and possible buys, just curious. I mentioned Jermall followed by Benavidez but theres always triple g to turn to.Comment
