J.Habeeb: Bob Arum is blocking Fury-Wilder 3 from happening

Well established boxing youtuber, and self-confessed Fury fan, Joe Habeeb thinks that Bob Arum is the one who is actually blocking Fury-Wilder 3 from happening. He gives two main reasons for this.

    1. Lack of a live gate which could make a difference of tens of millions of dollars. Bob simply doesn't want to lose that much money on the fight if it's held behind closed doors with no live gate.

    2. With Wilder still being a very risky opponent for anyone due to his devastating punching power, they intend to skip the Wilder fight (for now) so as not to risk delaying (and financially damaging) the bigger, more lucrative and historic AJ fight.

Fury signed a contract to fight so he should honor it. Fans or no fans.

Contract has ran out, they should have pushed this 6month ago, I don’t believe a word that comes out of his or his teams mouth.

That is only half-true: the fight kept getting pushed back because neither side was eager to lose money, and fighting without fans would likely meant sub-$5million paydays for each guy. That is a huge risk for both fighters for a comparatively small payday.

Both teams were mutually kicking the can down the road, but Warren seized on the contract expiring (without Arum) because they could make a big payday for Fury fighting a tomato can in the UK and pulled the plug on Wilder III.

It's just a unlucky turn of events for Wilder.

It’s a fight nobody really cares about missing out on. Wilder/Fury 2 was the rematch, where Wilder needed to redeem his extremely fortunate draw. And he got humiliated. The third fight is wholly unnecessary

Some Wilder fans I’m sure will be upset but that would never change

Fury/Joshua is the fight everybody wants to see. Doesn’t really matter who Fury faces in the meantime, if he does. But I’d rather him face someone he hasn’t comprehensively beaten already

Yeah Arum made Wilder go awol for months and not return calls.
Now that Fury’s moved on they want to act tough. Clowns.

No one cares about this fight. Tyson said that Wilder will never get another fight against him. Look at the ******ed accusations he's been throwing around. **** wilder. He's the biggest gimp in boxing history.

I agree. If Wilder fights let’s say Andy Ruiz and KO’s him than that should give him a shot at the winner of Fury-Joshua. I mean I don’t think ir does since Ruiz to me is nobody special in the heavyweight even after beating Joshua but that should merit a fight with the winner.

Nobody wanted to see a third fight anyway, what is the point?

Fury has decisively beaten Wilder, its beyond any doubt who the better man is, next they will be wanting Wilder Fury 4 after Fury knocks him out in one round in the third fight.

Point is its over and done with, and honestly I don't want Wilder to get a payday, he seems like a total and complete idiot who probably never considered that the 10s of millions of dollars he pulled in for the last two fury fights would ever dry up. Let's hope so and that he's spent way beyond his means and ends up broke.

                    That would be lovely.
