Serious though he was mumbling and slurring a bit. Wasnt the EJ of old talking.
It was really weird because he actually sounded worse than when he made his first public appearance at a fight, and answered some questions about his health. He was talking slower than usual, and he kind of sounded like there was something in his mouth preventing fluid speech. It's like he's thinking a bit slower, and the mechanics of moving his jaw to speak are a bit difficult for him. It is a concerning sight to see, especially when we know he'll be fighting with the punching power of Danny Garcia. I really wanted to see this fight before Errol had that terrible accident, because they would've had a great competitive boxing match. Now it looks like one of the combatants is damaged goods, and I'm not sure we'll see a classic fight between them. I could be wrong, and I hope that I am, because if I'm right Errol could come out of this fight in seriously bad shape. It would've been wiser to have Errol to have 1, or 2 fights against lower caliber opposition just to see how well he had recovered from the car crash. It doesn't make any sense to me to rush him back against a top 10 fighter how can ****, and do damage to his opponents. They should of thought rebuild first, then throw caution to the wind, once he proved that he was competitive, if not completely his old self. Although I'm pulling for Danny, good luck to both of them, and most importantly God bless them both.

For Spence, this is a high pressure fight for just coming off the accident but then also fighting in front of fans in the pandemic, and also fighting at home.

As the fight nears I am less optimistic about everything but we will have to wait.
I share in your skepticism, you don't return from a terrible accident like that, to fight a top tier fighter. He needed to test the waters against someone who was far less of a threat. I enjoy a good fight, but not at the risk of somebodies health or life. Especially if that somebody is exhibiting lingering effects from a horrific car crash, which he was lucky to have survived. Not for nothing but even Errol's trainer appears to have trouble getting his thought's across, when he's answering questions in his most recent recorded interview.

Angel Garcia doesn't speak for Philadelphia, it's unfortunate that Danny let's Angel speak for him. His father acts like a juvenile delinquent, instead of a serious father. The old man just doesn't know how to carry himself as a respectable adult, maybe the drugs did effect him permanently. That said it was delinquent thing to say, that he would disrespect the Dallas Cowboy's logo. I wouldn't refer to Danny Garcia as a punk by any means, his father is a whole different story. Danny has made his way through life without following in his delinquent fathers footsteps. He's become a two time world champion in the sport of boxing, owns several businesses, and has has no criminal record. He deserves to be respected for all of his accomplishments, he earned them the hard way. He's displayed good morals, character, ethics, and carries himself as a true champion.

Is anyone lumping a ton of money on Garcia on the chance that Errol Spence has lost it? I think on top of being a very good match-up on paper, this is a fascinating bout to see if Spence is what he was.

Garcia is +360 on some sportsbooks... I'd say yes, he's worth the risk. Spence is at his most vulnerable right now. Drop as much as you can on Danny but not more than you're willing to lose because the judges will probably favor Spence if it's a close fight.

Who was that poster around 2015-ish who had a Danny sig and was a major fanboy? Riz-something I think.
There was a guy named St. John's Gent who was a Danny fanatic. He disappeared after Danny lost to Thurman.

No? Wtf would they be able to do about it? Absolutely nothing. Nobody from the crowd is going to be rushing the field/ring after the fight, especially in the era of COVID. Give up the false bravado.

I'll throw £100 on. Wouldn't care if I lose. I'd be happy to lose if Spence looks at his best. Still want that Spence vs Crawford superfight, but if Spence has lost even 10%, he ain't winning that. I expect Garcia to go for the kill very early in this fight. Test Spence right from the off. That's what I'd do if I were him.

                    Danny Garcia

The only 2 welters Garcia dictated the fight was the last 2 B and C level fighters he fought. Think Porter and Thurman the only 2 top 10 welters he has fought and he lost to both although close matches he lost and now he is going to dictate the fight against Spence this is a must see

Great post. People need to understand that just because you are related or even raised by someone that person is not you. Danny is used to his father and so what you think may be a bother to him is just another day. His father clearly has mental health issues and that’s fine. As long as he doesn’t go to far off the meter with the things he says and does.

I think for this fight both Danny and Errol are quiet and reserved guys...it helps to have Angel the troublemaker who is the opposite of what his name represent some drama or ****e.

It’s also good for Errol to bring his A game and stir those competitive juices to another level. A level in which I believe he has to reach to clearly beat Danny. He said his first few sparring sessions were awkward and weird. Those first few rounds under the lights will be even more so.
