I'm a fan of boxing not promoters and I think the benavidez fight is interesting just because of the sheer size and chin of benavidez. Aside from those two things benavidez brings nothing else to the table, he isnt a great boxer, he isnt fast, slick, his power in my opinion is just a result of him being able to drain down to that weight class, he isnt a big draw.

Hes basically Chavez Jr all over again lol
You completely misunderstood what I said. And Benavidez is nothing like Chavez jr.

I must have read it differently my bad.

But tell me what is so different about chavez when he was at 160 and benavidez? All I see is more fluidity to his punches. Hes a huge come forward face first fighter that drains down to use his size and strength as and advantage.

I haven't seen anything special from his skills other than his chin and his strength from his size.

No knock if you can manage it and make weight than **** it. Hes playing by the rules.

Chavez Jr was taking duretics so he could make weight. He was a light heavyweight with little boxing skills who would just use his strength and size advantage to work guys to the body until he could drop them. Benavidez is a talented boxer. hes he's a come forward fighter and he's big, but he isn't oversized for the division (Smith is bigger than he is) he's fast, accurate and picks his shots well. His fight against Dirrell he looked bad, but it was also his first fight in over a year.
