But what does Crawford get out of beating Taylor?

Maybe better for Crawford to go up to 154 lbs to fight a champion.

If Taylor beats Ramirez and then becomes mandatory for Crawfords WBO he will take it, and Crawford will get props from me for beating a 140lb undisputed champion.

If Ramirez beats Taylor, then he will jump up and fight Crawford.

Both are good fights and it is clear that Top Rank are building both to become an opponent for Crawford.

I think it could be an interesting fight for sure & of the more makeable non-PBC guy options Josh might be the #1 guy who could give Bud a competitive fight. That said I'd still favor Bud. Admittedly Josh has surprised me doe so who knows.
