Theirs is no mawyeather in this era, Canelo is it. Two different personalities. One (Mayweather) who waiting for another event will hurt his pride and the other (Canelo) who is indifferent.

let me put it to you this way, Money May, you dont think he will wait for a event to end if it meant he made more $$$$$ on his PPV? of course he will, so this point is moot. Can Haymon force Caleb Plant? not in the way we are thinking but he can stall out Plant career to within his grasp if he chooses to, will he do it? probably not cause Canelo probably isnt putting the screws to Haymon like that over a plant fight. So it s a moot point.

Plant wants the fight, why would they need to force it?

No one is chasing Plant but Canelo, I believe Plant knows it, just find the common ground and the fight is set.

Plant may be unconfortable with the date though, mid january could work.
