Is the Lomachenko Lopez rematch going to happen in 2021?

Haven't heard much news since the fight. To use non-literal terminology, the first one was ridiculous and sort of looked... broken... in my opinion. Therefore, my opinion, I think they should do a second one just to... fix it, sort of. I don't think anyone should watch it because that would be rewarding the promotion for airing something, IMO, broken, but I definitely think they should do it. Fixing something after you break it is better than breaking it and not fixing it at all.

I am being intentionally vague, but there you have it. Is the rematch happening?

    Nope.

Teo is most likely moving up to 140 while Loma is rumored to move down to 130.

        Not sure about this,

Lot of risks for both fighters, Teo has no interest in this, he won, despite the fact that the fight was competitive.
He can make more money facing Garcia or Tank.

Why give a rematch to a guy that he clearly beat and somehow, has chances to beat him.

Loma lost his belts but not his dignity, he put on a good fight.
He could go back to 130 and have fun nomaschenko fights instead of chasing those young guys who are bigger, longer and harder hitters (except Haney) than himself.

That being said, it seems that after 6 rounds, Loma figured out Teo and adjusted, he won the second half of the fight (4 rounds out of 6 IMO).
Most of the time, the guy that win the second half of the fight in a decision first fight, does better in a rematch, see Ward vs Kova, Floyd vs Castillo, GGG vs Canelo.

Did Loma figured out Teo or was Teo tired, bored overconfident in the second half of the fight?

        Hard to tell.

If Loma lose again or get koed, he's kinda effed up, so not sure if it's both fighters interest, I'm pretty sure Bob doesn't not want it even if it's an in house fight.

Because he didnt clearly beat Loma.
Loma didn't start until late and in the 9th Teo knees did a bit of dancing when he was hit flush in the face.

Teo knows Loma has his number now and it was a close fight.

No. Lopez was very clear about not giving Loma a rematch so unless he changes his mind there will be no rematch.
