    Boxing Circle's Heavyweight Top 5

With a lot of fights taking place lately the landscape of the HW division has altered slightly. The P4P number #1 obviously keeps his place as HW #1. Do you agree with the list below? What's yours?

    1. Tyson Fury - BELTS - (WBC, RING, LINEAL, BOXREC #1 - ONLY CURRENT HW TO HAVE HELD THEM ALL AT ONE POINT)The greatest HW to ever lace them up.
Notable results - Wladimir Klitschko, Deontay Wilder + draw, War Chisora x2, Navy Seal Steve Cunningham, Prime Kevin Johnson, Christian Hammer, Tom Schwarz, Otto Wallin.

    2. Deontay Wilder - The hardest puncher in HW history. Fast, athletic, awkward. An ATG HW. Notable results - Draw with Tyson Fury (official result, boxing circle score 116-110 The Furious One.) Luis Ortiz X2, Dominic Breazeale, Bermane Stiverne X2, Artur Szpilka, Johann Duhaupas (prime) Losses - Fury, 40-pound suit, heavy shorts, spiked water. drunk ref, disloyal trainer, egg weights, small hammer, dinted skull, floppy glove, white towel, large batteries.

    3. Luis Ortiz - The slickest Cuban southpaw you will ever see. His two losses both came to powerhouse Deontay Wilder, in both fights he was winning before being stopped. A massive prospect who is improving all the time.

As good as he is now, he's still 3-5 years away from his prime, once he gets more experience and a bit older, he could surpass Wilder into the #2 position. Notable results - Losses - Deontay Wilder X2. Wins - Christian Hammer, Tony Thompson, Bryant Jennings, Lateef Kayode, Monte Barrett

    4. Andy Ruiz - BELTS (SNICKERS BOXING WORLD CHAMPION) The fastest combination puncher in the division. He may have lost his belts straight after winning them, but this man is hungry for more success. Notable results - Win and loss vs Anthony Joshua, loss (debated) to Joseph Parker - More Wins - Alexander Dimitrenko, Tor Hamer, Joe Hanks.

    5. Anthony Joshua - BELTS (WBA, WBO, IBF) - Excellent fighter. good/very good power, good speed, good technique, vulnerable durability/recovery. Most would have him above Ruiz, but as Ruiz won his fight far more convincingly, Ruiz gets the nod here, though it is open to debate.

Notable loss - Andy Ruiz. Notable wins - Wladimir Klitschko (past prime, from behind with a late stoppage over a tired and old Wlad) Interestingly enough, after losing twice in a row Hayden Panettiere lost all respect for him and ended the relationship. Dillian Whyte (exciting 50-50 shootout) Joseph Parker - Whilst this fight was not exciting, it did make history. This was the first-ever two vs one world title fight as Anthony Joshua and Giuseppe Quartarone beat Joseph Parker 117-111 on points.

Carlos Takam - This win is tainted as it was looking as though Takam was going to stop Joshua right at the end before the referee jumped in to stop Takam for no reason whatsoever after Eddie Hearn shouted at him to jump in and protect his pot of gold.

Charles Martin (former "champion") He walked the earth like a God but left the ring like a damn fool. He has since turned things around by beating Byron Polley.

Dominic Breazeale - okay win, boring fight, Alexander Povetkin, a very good knockout win by Joshua, after losing the first six rounds, he landed a punch from the Gods to defeat the Russian contender.

Fury and AJ joint number 1. Its up to them to settle it. I would have Wilder at 3 even though he seems to of lost his mind and maybe his bottle but there are other decent fighters ready to roll right over him.

Then I would have Povetkin and Whyte next. Luis Ortiz is good but he has done NOTHING to warrant being top 5 let alone above Josbua.

I dont know who the Boxing Circle are but that's one crap list.

Rigondeaux, Lara and many others disagree.

That being said, I would love to see Fury vs Ortiz.

Ortiz boxes better than Wilder, it just that could not avoid Wilder's power for 12 rounds.

Fury does not have Wilder's power, so it would be a good boxing match...

I consider this the definitive list. I just made boxing circle up. But this list is excellent. I make it clear why people are placed where they are. I could go either way on 4 and 5.

That's more than fair enough. Anybodys top 5 list is based on opinion and you are entitled to yours as much as the next person.

Personally your list doesn't make much sense to me but I repeat, it's all just opinion.

I think AJ should be number 2. I don't like the way he beat Ruiz but still he won every round. Other than his loss to Ruiz AJ has a very good record and he beat more top guys than Wilder.

How does one become number 3 when that guys best win was 5 years ago and any list has to go off wins and or relevance ?

Ortiz is improving ? He hasn’t looked good since Wilder 1 . He does look good against no names but if that’s a basis of your criteria he should be at least 2 . Ha

How can you rate Luis Ortiz over Povetkin?

Pov just beat a top contender, while Ortiz fought some bum

Agreed. Fart Squad can only be colloquially named "number 2" if you get my meaning, because he sure as heck ain't the #2 HW. I'd put AJ ahead of Shart Squad any day of the week and thrice on Sunday.
