Comments Thread For: Joe Joyce: Dubois Will Try To Knock Me Out - But I'll KO Him in Late Rounds

Undefeated Olympic silver medal winner Joe Joyce has a plan in place to take down his fellow unbeaten heavyweight puncher, Daniel Dubois. Their showdown is in place for November 28th, after several postponements due to the coronavirus pandemic. Joyce, 35-years-old, has fast-tracked his career due to age.

It’s possible. I wouldn’t bet on Joyce seeing the late rounds though.

I'm still picking Joyce. Daniels are known to disappoint. I'd know being one myself.

This is a difficult fight for me to call, it isn't exactly 50/50, but it's close in my mind. If I had to make a pick, I'd lean toward Daniel Dubois beating, and possibly even knocking out Joe Joyce. The reason being is that Daniel Dubois is more of an athlete, faster, and younger to boot. Joe Joyce is a slower, methodical plodder, who seems to tire as the rounds go by. If Daniel Dubois uses his boxing abilities wisely, he'll win a very contested boxing match between two highly rated, undefeated fighters.

If he can survive the early rounds he has a solid chance. He’s just so easy to hit

Joyce DOES have the advantage in experience, and that is most likely to show up in the late rounds.

Still, I pick Dubois. Too young, fast, athletic, and gifted. A major threat for anyone outside the top 3.
