  • James Toney Puts it All On The Line

On September 2nd, James "Lights Out" Toney will engage in a WBC elimination bout against one of boxing’s most feared fighters, Samuel "The Nigerian Nightmare" Peter. The fight will be telecast on Showtime Championship Boxing. WBC President Jose Sulaiman has gone on record as saying that the winner of this fight will challenge the new WBC Heavyweight Champion, Oleg Maskaev, for his newly acquired title. To explain by example just what a competitive fighter James Toney is, he did not have to take this fight against Peter, as #1, he was automatically penciled as the next challenger for the WBC title. you should thank BPP for that there is no chicken music in this thread, let alone that you don't have to use the mouse for scrolling

I hope Toney comes in at 225 or less, otherwise I'm returning my tickets, there is no way I'll pay the man who disrespects the sport and its fans.

                Good article.
I hope James Toney comes in good shape. I think he can beat Peter if he comes in at 230lbs, but I want him to come in 15lbs. lighter and silence the critics once and for all.

exactly, i don't understand why people are waiting till weigh in to place bets, even at 240 toney will make peter look bad. toneys weight just determines how bad hes going to make peter look
