Mark Breland saved him to fight another day. Even that might not be enough.

Wilder was looking groggy, out on his feet and on the verge of being knocked out. I think Breland did the right thing at that point, Wilder had only an extremely slim chance of catching Fury with anything significant at that point and in the meantime he would have continued to take more and more damage himself.
I think Breland was probably aware that something was wrong with Wilder before the fight even began, and that played into his decision to stop it too. Wilder must have said he aint feeling right and it was obvious from his behavior and demeanor that he was having an off-night before the fight even started.Comment
