Canelo Alvarez gets out of DAZN contract to avoid GGG fight

I just wanted to make sure there was a thread about it because I know we’re all going to ignore it.

DAZN asked Alvarez to fight GGG. He threw a fit and begged to fight anyone else.

They allowed him to fight a tune up and two other ticket sellers that are comparable to GGG. They even allowed Canelo to pick a fighter from outside the DAZN stable in one instance because they were so willing to make him happy.

After those three fights, DAZN asked Alavrez again to fight GGG. He refused. DAZN begged for an event that’s comparable in scope to Canelo-GGG 3.

DAZN suggested Canelo beat up a couple of MMA guys in a boxing match or beat up his 50 year old promoter.

Canelo refused because he knows DAZN will still want him to fight GGG.

So he got out of his contract to run to PBC. That way he can add a network roadblock to the list of reasons why GGG is the only unified champion in boxing history to lose his titles by four points or less on three cards and never receive a rematch.

I’m so glad he’s the face of boxing!

      Boxing fans are crazy

Fight someone twice giving the tough opponent a quick rematch and the fans still scream chicken

The judge had the privilege to review all contracts and inform the OP that he is now a free agent so that he can avoid GGG. Lol

Lol. It says Free Agent. That means he is not bound to GBP. He can still fight on DAZN per fight for a minimum guarantee. In fact Matchroom USA can buy Canelo fights in double or triple the premiums that Mikey gave him.

Yeah he’s gonna go fight on DAZN after leaving DAZN.

Did you keep your job with DAZN or is it back to turning tricks in highway rest stop bathrooms?
