Comments Thread For: Arum Backs Fury To Take Joshua Out in Two or Three Rounds

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum has stated several times that he's not a fan of immediate rematches. But full division unification, between heavyweight world champions Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, would require a two-fight agreement.

The time a promoter backs his rivals guys to beat their own will mark the end of the world as we know it.

The rematch thing is laughable with all the rematches arum has done, including trying to get Teofimo to rematch Lomachenko, but he is right about who wants to deal with Wilder with all the stuff he’s been talking. Why give him another payday if you don’t have to? It reminds me of McGregor vs Khabib.

Fury is gonna rag doll Joshua, AJ has no counter to Kronk Fury who will be bigger, longer, stronger, tougher, faster, smarter and more styles!

I say Fury goes easy on AJ in first fight and easily outboxes him over 12 to help sell the rematch and then destroys him within 5!

That sounds like Freddie Roach was in a Bob Arum mask for Halloween to me.

                Fury awkwardness will frustrate Joshua.

I think trying to get Lopez to rematch a close fight is a bit different than what will occur on Joshua's face vs Fury. Ass whoopings that bad aren't worthy of immediate rematches.

Fury will approach this fight, if it happens, the same way he did with his ''fight'' with Wlad.

Play it safe and win a MD via boredom.
