He and his handlers brought it on themselves. The belt he carries gets him no respect, why is that? When you beat a champion you become a champion and you get respect among the boxing community. He didn’t do that. The poster is right. He cried for a belt because he felt a belt was owed to him automatically, because Lomachenko was interested in bigger fights. He is going to continue getting hate until he beats a top 10 LW and credible opponent. He is a true paper champion right now. The phrase gets thrown around an awful lot. But this guy Haney is a real paper champ.
Lomachenko chose to drop the belt rather than have Haney hanging over his head as the mandatory.
Why you continually choose to blame Haney for this is beyond me.
