Comments Thread For: Eimantas Stanionis Drops Justin DeLoach Twice, Stops Him In 9th Round

Eimantas Stanionis stalked Justin DeLoach throughout their fight Wednesday night. Stanionis' persistent pressure made DeLoach box backward for eight-plus rounds and led to the unbeaten Lithuanian welterweight prospect stopping him in the ninth round. Stanionis dropped DeLoach ttwice in the ninth, in the main event of an FS1 broadcast from Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

DeLoach just isn't durable enough and doesn't have a chin, but man it seemed like yesterday when he went on that good stretch where he was beating undefeated fighters left and right.

Stanionis looks good though. I want to see him in with someone like Samuel Vargas.

Eimantas Stanionis is one tough, strong, and strategic fighter. I'd love to see him fight Porter, Thurman, Ugas, Garcia, Crawford, Ennis, Ortiz, and Spence, really any of the top welter weights. He is that technically sound, Has a good chin, and can punch. Turn this guy loose on the division, any fight he's in will be exciting.

Damn sounds like Eimantas did good. I was looking forward to seeing how he did in this one, cos Justin's a decent test, but I wasn't about to stay up all night to watch it.
