Andre Ward spent his career getting his a$$ licked by HBO because they were trying to sell him as a super middleweight Floyd Mayweather. He couldn't live up to that, but that didn't matter. HBO still hyped him. In 2009, he headbutted his way to a technical decision against his first real test, Mikkel Kessler. He barely beat Sakio Bika, although I think Bika could've edged it. Unpopular opinion because, again, HBO brainwashed many to believe he was special. Chad Dawson? You mean Tommy Karpency Chad Dawson? Then comes Kovalev. He got a gift in the first fight and nut punched his way to victory in a rematch. Andre Ward does not belong in the Boxing Hall of Fame and it's not even close.
