on his welter debut he fought Sharmba Mitchell (was Sharmba's welter debut as well) who was just recently DESTROYED by Kosta and is about 35 yr. old. Then he fought Zab Judah who was just embarassed by a 16 to 1 underdog (and was also KTFO by Kosta btw). Now he think's he can call out the Golden Boy? The REAL face of boxing!......It just doesn't work that way.

What has Tony done at Welter in his 35ish fights there...the guy has been there for 12 years and has still to fight anyone better than Cintron. In Floyd's 2 fights at welter, going by your precious ring rankings, he has a better win on his resume than Tony's 33 at 147.

So, you're gonna give credit for calling out? Biggest crock of ****. You realize anyone can call anyone out. Hell, Zsolt Erdei called out all of 175, HE'S UNDER UNIVERSUM! There's no chance of him fighting any of the top guys.

You must realize there is more to boxing than a dollar sign correct? Mayweather bought out Arum for almost 1 million bucks, so he's gonna throw that away and knock that 8 million down to 7.25 and lose the control he just paid to have? How does that make sense? Tony has one of the two biggest liars in boxing behind him, and Arum's hype machine has been on full blast this summer. Until he proves it in the ring, I'd rather not get on the bandwagon. Sorry, but as Floyd said "knocking out a couple of cab drivers" doesn't mean a thing.

As for his mediocre competition at 140, he asked Cotto and Hatton for fights, both told him to wait until 2007-2008...so he's supposed to continue fighting the crap at 140 outside of the top 5 until when, 2 3 years? So people like you can dig on him? No thanks.

First fight at 147, it's ok to take an easy fight. Ricky Hatton took a very tough fight, look what happened, he got saved by a **** knockdown.

exactely , he has been fighting easy fights...you said it best!

look at Hatton...a real fighter..not a cherry picker. You see Bernard fight a EASY fight before fighting Tarver?

Floyd fought EASY fights at 140 too..

im glad you agree now, Thanks it was fun, peace.

Haha, you love to put words in mouths don't you. Pathetic.

Hatton had about 18-19 WBU defenses, he's had 2 tough fights in his career, Tszyu and Collazo. Outside of that, his resume BLOWS.

Margarito fought Cintron, outside of that, his resume is even worse than Hatton's.

                      Floyd's fights at 140

Corley: an eliminator, also gave Judah troubles
Bruseles: another eliminator, a sparring partner and a friend to Cotto, whom Floyd attempted to get to fight him by kicking the **** out of his friend
Gatti: WBC Champ at the time, whom some writers had him beating Mayweather before the absolute destruction of Arturo.

Offered both Cotto and Hatton, both turned him down.

So don't sit there and claim Hatton has a superb resume by comparison to Mayweather when the guy wouldn't even fight him.
