Nixon was the first one who behaved like that, and I saw, heard, and listened to his very rational explanation, when he was asked about it.
He said (paraphrased) "In this dangerous world, when America has so many who want to destroy us, the more uncertain they are of my behaviour the more afraid they become of what I may do, so they "tread softly"....
Pretty good, I think....!!
On the other hand Arum is a devoted, VERY ******* ******** all his life. He was the manager of a tax department for Teddy Kennedy, and intimately connected with the ********ic Party all his life. So he has, naturally, "Anti-Trump Mania", which all good ********s suffer from. I live in Canada and have no personal axe to grind, but am always interested in US elections. I used to write synopses for political essays and introductions to books on the same subject, for a few years, a long time ago, and never lost my interest.
Just like my interest in boxing which I've never lost, since the days of Joe Louis. I believe you are a moderator. If you are, you can look at my date of birth and know that my boxing interest began at age 9. My late uncle, and old time Carnival Booth boxer, was very friendly with a sparring partner of Tommy Burns. I met him when he was a very old man. Had seen him many times but never spoke to him until my uncle introduced us. He even came down to our club and presented us with some old boxing gear. I recall a couple of pairs of loosely packed 5 oz boxing gloves, a leather head helmet, _(like the old time football helmet) a groin protector, and a few skipping ropes.
