Most people weren't begging him to talk just to talk, people wanted to hear his response to the challenge Fury issued him regarding the 3rd fight to which they had an obligation due to the rematch clause. Fury talked about it publicly moths ago and nothing came from Wilder's side, then the time frame of the clause ran out, so they're not obliged to fight each others anymore, and now Wilder comes back and starts spewing nonsense.

That's some really strange behavior imo. From the comments I've heard from Wilder I think he's suffered a lot of psychological damage in that last fight that he still hasn't recovered from, which means that he won't be competitive with Fury if they fought again soon, so what he needs to do is to try to show us what he has left against someone else first to earn his shot at Fury. Meanwhile Fury and Joshua can unify the division.
