Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas - In the pay-per-view telecast opener, Mexico City's Isaac Cruz (20-1-1, 15 KOs) wasted no time in getting the fans on their feet, scoring a stunning first-round knockout of Diego Magdaleno (32-4, 13 KOs) just 53 seconds into the night's action.

Say what u will about fighters being nobodies, but Diego Magdaleno would knock all u critics the f... out cold!!! And this kid would obviously knock all u critics the f... out cold. And he deserves to get some real money with a performance like that. If he didn't make a statement, no one did

No skill? I’m betting the farm you didn’t even see the fight. You’d be better served to not speak.

Weak opponents? You’re kidding right? This was a step up fight and Diego is an established talented fighter. He is far from a weak opponent.

And WTF is this masterbational fascination with promoters and promotional companies!?

I liked how Cruz was hammering away to the body right from the start. He would have definately reaped the rewards of that if the fight had went onto the mid rounds and beyond.

Didnt see the fight but always liked Magdeleno as a fighter. Maybe not at the elite level, he's come up short when he's close to a title, but he's tough and has beaten some good fighters. He's getting a little older and has a lot of mileage on his odometer.
