Comments Thread For: Prograis: Me & Teofimo Lopez Would Be A Very Explosive Fight; Let's Do It!

Regis Prograis would love to welcome Teofimo Lopez to the 140-pound division. Lopez might move up to junior welterweight, particularly if he can't land the type of high-profile lightweight fight he seeks against Devin Haney or Gervonta Davis. Lopez would prefer to challenge the Jose Ramirez-Josh Taylor winner sometime in 2021 because it would afford him an opportunity to become a fully unified champion in a second division, but Prograis is a former 140-pound champion and another top opponent in that weight class.

I’d favour Prograis in this matchup. Teo will be a little quicker and cleaner but Prograis is a strong heavy hitting dude at 140.

No fight I really care for Lopez at 135 besides maybe a Loma rematch. I think he should start getting his feet wet with guy’s as strong as he is at 140 before the super fight(s) with the likes of Taylor. Prograis is as good as any, not too long but one of the stronger guys at the weight.

Bob wouldn't let Prograis get at Ramirez! Doubt he let's him get at Teo! Why would he, when he has Zepeda and Pedraza already at 140? Ergashev, Matias, Barrios! Choose One!

Didn't even make weight for this fight and he is still talking about fighting at 140.

Everyone calling out Teofimo. He fought a smaller man, now he will be the smaller man. Its harder to stay at the top than to get there. Teo wont last, he wast getting man handle by a smaller guy the last 6 rounds.

I don't think Josh Taylor is the same guy after fighting Prograis and if I'm right, it will show when he faces Jose Ramirez.

No...Bob Arum is not going to allow a prime Regis Prograis near Teofimo. Win or lose a prime Prograis does too much damage.

Teo is a big boy, i quite like that sound of that, eventually. With the styles they both have that would be an explosive encounter.

Sounds good but Prograis needs to get a win or two in a row. 🥊
