  • Comments Thread For: Heavyweight Avalanche Starts With Usyk-Chisora

By Tris Dixon - Over the next few weeks, Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Alexander Povetkin, Dillian Whyte and Kubrat Pulev will see heavyweight action. It might have taken a while for the big guns to get going in a world frozen by coronavirus this year but they're finishing 2020 strong and the run-in starts with Oleksandr Usyk staking his claim for recognition as a top big...

I actually hope Chisora gets to him at some point. The biggest question about Usyk at 200+ is how he handles the tremendous power advantages most of this division has over him. Chisora is limited, but ain't no fool out there that does not realize that he has legit impact. Usyk will find out within a few clean leather slaps if he is a legit HW.

I feel Usyk wins a clean decision, but he is going to be tested at some point.

      Can't wait...

Looking forward to this and could go either way, frankly Bellew was doing great until he switched off for a split second.

Usyk in his last fight was lethargic and lost speed but still....maybe he can settle down at the weight and be a force but tonight will tell us so much as Chisora, when on point, is a real threat...albeit it still shouldn't be a Box Office fight!

The 'heavyweight avalanche' will cost the punter £60 and there's not a decent fight there. If all three were on the same card it would just about make it with only one title fight on! Times as they are there is no excuse for this from Hearn!!

I think he'll be able to handle the power. He was fighting 200+ lbs guys at the WSB back when their heavyweight division was 200+ lbs (they've incorporated super-heavyweight now). Additionally, Gassiev has apparently always been known for his heavyweight power, and we saw how that went.

Usyk also has the power (when he throws it) to make the big boys think twice. So I think his real test will be how he deals with the big strength differences on the inside. I have a feeling it won't affect him that much though, he's been sparring heavyweights like Klitschko for nearly a decade.

Yea but, £60 for three different events (each will undoubtedly provide some worthy action)...or $70 for one event in America? I know which one I'd happy with

If you knew your boxing you'd realise the best fight and show of the week is on ch.5 for free . And I don't understand what on earth what happens in another country has to do with it as if we need to go there many countries show these fights for free. But please carry on wasting your money. Hearn will keep throwing these average contests at you on PPV.
The main event doesn't prove anything for a fighter who is line to fight for world titles next.

Nobody cares about this tired DAZN match up, every time Hearn wants a UK audience and some fighter credibility he throws Chisora under the bus. Chisora now has 41 fights an 9 losses as a heavy weight.

Who has Chisora beaten of worth recently? If Hearn keeps going Chisora is going to end up like Ali. This is what I hate about boxing. Hearn doesn’t have enough compassion bro be in the fight game.

But ppv on sky yet again for a non title fight. Gtfoh!
                    Whyte Pov ppv twice! Gtfoh!
Hearn & Sky. Milk milk milk all the sheeple with money left.
