Count me among those who think Munguia still has big potential for improvement in the areas everyone talks about under different tutelage over the next few years...I don't think we've seen close to his best. I suspect the guy has probably just had fairly lackluster training for most of his career to date. It's a big if though. I think a shake up is needed in the trainer dept...if things continue as they are then it could be a very different story.

Mungia looked great.. footwork looked tremendous when he focused on using it.. hands & combinations are a serious problem for his opponents

Yes, Munguia needs to work on his defense, but to me he looked better fighting backwards than he has in past. If he can work on his jab and vary up his punch selection, he could be a middleweight threat. He has a chin and power.

Didn't like how mungia was getting hit . he definitely needs to work on his defense . and of course being more defense cordinated he's losing his killer instinct.

Looks like Hymee is getting better. I liked what I saw under pressure from an experienced Johnson. I'd like to see him vs the slow lil G 🥊

Seems to me that Mungo fights to his level of opposition. Spike looked good as Johnston in a way. Maybe they should loosen the reins on him.

Munguia still needs work, no doubt, but he has improved under Morales and this guy is still learning on the job. The one thing I will say is that Johnson brought the fight to him, pushed him back something Munguia doesn't like and is not used to but Munguia did not fold, kept his composure and kept throwing those uppercuts. He's learning, he will probably won't be the guy Golden Boy wants to be but if he continues to listen to Morales, he will give some guys a run for their money.

Munguia has always been an ok fighter, nothing special.
