Damn, yeah. Good call. Big fan of both these dudes and I'd be sad to see either take an L - especially Browny now he just got back in the W column - but this is the kinda fight we need to see.

Since none of the top wanna fight either one, they might as well fight each other!

Matias should fight Ananyan again before they give him a big fight because he looked terrible in that fight and a win over Hawkins doesn't exactly prove he's a real contender

Subriel Matias has to to work on, and improve his defense. His hands down, and catch punches style is a disaster waiting to happen. I've scene other fighters in the past who just walked into their opponents punches. It's a style of fighting that caught up to them at some point in their career's. Nobody's chin is that strong, that it will withstand to many punches, without it developing some cracks along the way. I don't remember him being that careless with his defense in earlier fights. You can't be that dismissive of your opponents power, punches cause damage, and leave lingering effects. I like watching Subriel Matias fight, he is a real fighter, in the truest sense. What I'm saying is if he wants to have continued success in his career, he needs to improve his defense. He's already got the the power, heart, will to win, and an exciting fighting style to boot. I look forward to seeing him fight for the title, but with his poor defense, I could see someone like Jose Zepeda boxing his ears off.

I would definitely like to see Subreil Matias avenge the controversial loss he suffered, against Petros Ananyan. I believe in the rematch Matias would be better focused for this particular opponent, and his style. Matias might even become the first fighter to knockout Ananyan in the pro's. I thought Matias won the first fight, even though Ananyan took full advantage of Matias' sloppy defense. Which allowed him to score points, and get credit for a knock down. I still don't think that those points were enough to trump Matias' early rounds lead in their fight. So a second fight would be more than welcomed, and then we could see what Matias, and Ananyan are all about.

Ergashev versus Matias would definitely be a 50-50, firefight at this point in their careers. That's a great match up between two of the toughest fighters in the 140 pound division in boxing.
